The future superintendent for Springfield Community Educational facilities is in charge, on an interim basis, of the nation’s seventh-greatest district.
Grenita Lathan is interim superintendent of Houston Independent College District, which has 276 colleges, 27,000 employees and 196,000 students.
Lathan was the Springfield faculty board’s unanimous preference to switch the retiring John Jungmann. Her to start with day will be July 1.
