Curriculum that divides by skin color has no place in WCSD

Jeff Church

This opinion column was submitted by Jeffrey Church, an elected WCSD Board trustee. His views are his do not mirror those of WCSD or any govt company.

In spite of staunch denials and a refusal to share lesson resources, we now have proof that the WCSD is advertising the divisive skin shade dependent essential race theory (CRT).

The Washoe County College District has frequently mentioned, “… enable me guarantee you that neither critical race theory nor 1619 will be incorporated. The disinformation campaign falsely reports that the supplemental content came from vital race principle …”

And “… the Board has directed the District to move in a path that meets Condition requirements in a way that is not divisive to students or the group.”

We now have documents, referred to as Equity 101, taken from the WCSD internet site, that display that the District’s denials are, at finest, not correct. Fairness 101 is a mandatory teaching for all new lecturers and quite a few others, filled with divisive text and ideas based on CRT.
